In addition to the journal, between 1940 and the 1980s Monumenta Nipponica published close to sixty monographs. The demands of bringing out the journal led in 1986 to the reluctant termination of this program. Many of the monographs are out of print, but, as indicated on the list below, a number are still in stock and available for purchase.
